Workshop 3
The Role of Stakeholders in Preventing and Combating Violence in Schools: Towards an Intersectoral and Coordinated Response
Education is a field in which many stakeholders play an essential role in creating an intersectoral and coordinated educational response. The workshop, titled «The Role of Stakeholders in Preventing and Combating Violence in Schools: Towards an Intersectoral and Coordinated Response» looks at the following key actors – school, family, civil society, and media – and explores how they contribute to meeting the challenges of violence in schools. The central objective of this workshop is to examine how to evaluate the practices and initiatives of these actors to strengthen their impact on education.
Key questions :
- What role do schools play in a coordinated, cross-sectoral response?
- How does family contribute to this response?
- How can civil society play an effective role in preventing and fighting violence in schools?
- What is the impact of media on preventing and fighting violence in schools, and how it can be assessed?
- What evaluation criteria and methods are used to measure the effectiveness of the practices and initiatives of those involved in education?
- How can we encourage coordination and collaboration between actors involved in education to provide a more coherent educational response?
These key questions will guide the workshop discussions, enabling a profound analysis of the essential role of each actor in the cross-sectoral educational response. Reflections will also focus on assessing the impact of their actions and strengthening coordination between these actors to promote education in a safe and learning environment.
